Arccos Golf — Success

The golf industry has found a way to get more metrics to the participant. Trackman is the industry leader (and if you have not had a Trackman experience I recommend it, especially at CitySwing in Washington D.C. (https://cityswingdc.com/). The next leader in this space is Arccos Golf. With a non-intruding device on the end of your club you can get the metrics on your round to study and improve.

After several years of using the device, I think I have finally found the secret! Extra battery pack and keep the phone out of your pocket! The Arccos site states that: “Your phone needs to be in your front pocket during your round (Android users should keep it in your front leading pocket i.e., left front pocket if you are a righty).https://arccos.support.arccosgolf.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1720312-where-should-my-phone-be-while-i-m-playing-

I have tried this technique and found that it did not pick up every shot and I would have to do manual adjustments. Furthermore, the phone battery on the Google Pixel 2 would not even last for 9 holes. Now combined with an external battery pack and placing the phone on my cart, I was able to collect 99% of the metrics. (.01% was missing due to the gimme putts and therefore not the fault of the Arccos device). This resulted in the following metrics from the East Potomac golf course in Washington, DC, shown below. https://www.golfdc.com/east-potomac-gc

It was a great day with Arccos and I look forward to more success in the future!
