My experience with BigSur includes the following:

1. I have the MacBook Pro Early 2015 2.7Ghz, 8GB of Ram and BigSur "Appears" to have improved performance

2. However! That peformance improvement could be related to the 34GB! of drive space I had to find to do the install. On a machine wiht 112GB and with 40GB lost to the "System/Other" category, finding 34GB was no small feat

3. I enjoy the new colors

4. Thanks to your article I will explore launch pad and control center items.

Overall, BigSur has rescued my Mac and I am pleased with the upgrade, although it was painful to find 34GB of drive space.
