My productivity has increased while working at home. I used to spend 12 hours in the office, not counting the 35 minute travel time, to complete my tasks. Working at home I am not tempted to wander around the campus to the Starbucks, head out to lunch with colleagues or use a rest room 3 buildings away to avoid running into somebody.

Currently the "playing" field is level. All parties are at home. I am concerned that a future hybrid environment makes it hard to find people for a meeting as they are networking with colleagues at lunch and I am left out.

I liked the work at home so much, I declared "End of the Office Road" in my post titled: End Of The Office Road:) https://jjdonovan.medium.com/end-of-the-office-road-d7d785a1465e)

The Wall St. Journal has an article on the pros and cons of working at home that I will consider in my future decision. See the title: "After Covid, Should You Keep Working From Home? Here’s How to Decide."

If I decide to work at home, I know that I will need to invest more in my home office which will further increase my productivity.
